Today i m going to discuss, are the old people in our home important for us? If they are important then why are they gradually maltreated?(in most cases)
It is very shoking think that who is backbone in our life at a time , became useless , homeless and bone less at the time of his /her old age.do you ever think about our responsibility ,which we are gradually torn up.we broke the tradition and neglect our duty as well.Do we ever think that why are old age homes gradually increasing in our country?
Now lets discuss why old men are gradually disregarded by the youngers? how we will become a good humane after all..

People, especially married kids, prefer living without their parents these days. Some of them work in a different city while others feel troubled by taking care of their elderly parents”, said experts. The highest crime rate per lakh population against the senior citizens (60 years and above) has been found in the Delhi (93.8) followed by Gujarat (85.4),
Chandigarh (74.5), Madhya Pradesh (73.2) and Chhattisgarh (67.3) whereas UTs of Lakshadweep, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Puducherry have reported no crime against the senior citizens. Similarly, the States of Assam, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Meghalaya and Uttarakhand have reported less than one crime against the senior citizens.(source google).
People of india are gradually tried to copy the status of western culture.Where in India parents are regarded as a first god to their children.but gradually we lost this tendency...and degrading our tradition and moral.I think this is the major failure in our education system.I heard an interview from ISCON SWAMIJI that he says " people are in dilema ,they are easily disregard their religion,they dont feel the importance of their own religion,they have no pride in their religion, because they have not been taught the things on proper way.On the same way, parents are maltreated, disregarded by their sons..In 'Baghban' movie this picture is portrayed carefully,and this was eye opening movie for all of us.
According to me ,the real reason behind this we are unaware and have no proper education.Even parents are failure to lead their sons with proper education,proper etiquette, codes and conducts.we sometime thought,if people have been given education, then the ratio of old age home will reduce but scenario is sometime opposite..It is seen sometime this people also treated badly their parents.. But the fact is that , children have to be taught from the very beginning.. and they mast have to be realised the importance of their parents in his family., senior is regarded as a umbrella which protects us 24*7.BASICALLY WE HAVE to buid up EMPATHY.. THIS is very serious and important tool which can reduce the problem.. Empathy is basically a attitude /tendency where one can try to learn his /her feeling by standing on his/her situation...
If someone made up this empathy attitude,then the ratio of this problem will be reduced drastically.. along with ,people have to carefull about their parents.because karma pays you what you had paid..so how ever you treat your parents,your son will treat you on the same way.. this is called"karma".Karma left none to pay his debt...remind this simple concept and enjoy your happy life with your parents..
